I'm thinking of no longer being a catholic mainly because its based on a great story tale and has really not much merrit unless you believe in the tooth fairy or Jesus, or Mohamed..

So I am going to join the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster and become a devout Pastafarian. I am looking for any one that could help guide me into the holy pasta bowl of enlightenment.

Our Pasta, who art in a colander, draining be your noodles. Thy noodle come, thy sauce be yum, on top some grated Parmesan. Give us this day our garlic bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trample on our lawns. And lead us not into vegetarianism, but deliver us some pizza, for thine is the meatball, the noodle, and the sauce, forever and ever, Ramen.

There is a direct correlation between global warming and the decline of pirates. (although the recent pirate shenanigans off the coast of Somalia would suggest global warming is declining) Laughing

Flying Spaghetti Monster? Why join a religion when you could start your own? You clearly have sumperhuman powers having apparently just arrived here from the year 2005.

If you really are thinking of getting out of a religion, it is a decision that shouldn't be made lightly. It might drive a serious wedge between yourself and family or friends who don't appreciate your mocking of their superstitions. Also, keep in mind you just went from believing in eternal life to having nothing to look forward to but spaghetti.

I hear certain godless Koreans believe and worship Godzilla.

The massive swooning when Godzilla destroys Tokyo is something to see.

Hear hear little wafter! Don't settle for some tired old parody religion when you can have the Buick of Blashphemy! Pull the wool over your own eyes and join the Church of the Subgenius.

Got one joke and you're sticking to it? Wanna find a squishy God to replace the one you left behind? Wanna get a t-shirt to show how different you are? Well then line up for any of the halfbreed internet religions 'friend'.

We here will do none of those things. We have come to justify your sins, to give you back the slack that the pink boys have stolen from you. Eternal salvation or triple your money back!

Then clearly you don't get it. Don't worry though, just go make merry while the adults are talking.

The Church of Fun & Adventure

Masses held 7 days a week

Gatherings conducted outdoors only; sitting not allowed, fleetness encouraged

Activities can vary from the ritual killing/eating of fish & game in summer to sliding down mountain sides on implements made from petrochemical derivatives in winter.

No tithing save for the odd bottle of gatorade
