I may have an interview w/ a school in Gimhae. 2.1 Million Won.....and NO overtime? (The no overtime seems odd)

Whats Gimhae city like? How populated is it? Much to do there? Is it difficult to get to the beaches in Busan from there? Or to some Busan nightlife? (Living by the beaches in Busan was my preference....)

Whats the public transportation like? Does the train/subway system run to/from Gimhae?

Any experiences or thoughts would be appreciated.

It's up to you. It's what you make of it.There are pubs, restaurants, nice parks, good parks. It's a good place to work but some find it hard going at weekends. There are over 100 foreigners here. It's a bit cliquey but there are good people around like everywhere. Some people love it here and have stayed a long time. There's a foreigner bar called Tandoori in Chinae ( downtown). To contact the pub 01050274175 is the owner's number (Qamar).I think it's quite serene, quiet and relaxing to live here but working here may be different. It's a little backward in some respects.I think on the whole, it's OK for a year or two.

Gimhae overall is ok. All transportation goes to Pusan and it runs well. The big factor is where you are going to work. Im leaving my hagwon soon and if you are my replacement beware.

I have heard only bad things about schools in Gimhae but Busan seems like a nice city even with all the vice.

I lived in Gimhae back in 1999, it sucked. It may have changed, but I couldn't stand the damn place.
