Do you know of any artists' collectives, work studios, or regular artists' gatherings in or around Seoul? I'll soon be moving into Gangnam-gu and though I'm accustomed to working small, I'm thinking my teachers' apartment won't be quite big enough to support a painting and installation practice.

I've heard that there are some hidden little neighbourhoods off the beaten track where artists can be found - how easy would you imagine it would be to become a part of an arts community while in the city on a teaching contract? Are there artmaking expats on Dave's that would be open to having some informal meetups/crits/collabos?

Any information on where I can find my paint-spattered brethren would be much appreciated!

Ha! The second time you've posted something I'm interested in. I have a BFA in Industrial Design. I'm more of a builder / drawer than a painter, but I'd like to know the answer to your question as well. If no one knows of a group of artists, maybe we can start one!

no kidding! where'd you study ID?

if no premade community emerges, i'm absolutely down with starting some artist meetups with you. i think i know a couple others that might be interested, too.

College for Creative Studies--Detroit, MI. Spent a couple years doing design, but have since moved on to a multitude of other randomness in the past few years.

Nice start to the website btw.

I do, but I've taken it down recently, as I wasn't happy with it. Blah.
