At least it's not the overdone "tribal" tat. Where on the body will this work of art rest? |

She should get it on her lower back, so it at least serves as a bulls-eye. Reminds me of a friend who got the kanji for "to like" (好) on his left shoulder because the tattooist said it meant "good" or some shit in Chinese. I pointed out that it really looks like "female child" because the radicals are too spread out lulz |

I saw a Korean guy back home with his name tatooed on his arm. I also met a guy in SE Asia who was working in Seoul, and along with his two best friends had 형제 tatooed on their ankles.
To each their own I guess. |

I always thought those chinese character tattoos were pretty cheesy. I think the same of the idea of getting a tattoo of your own name in korean.
If you saw a korean guy with a tattoo of his name spelled out in English, would that look cool to you? It's basically tattooing a nametag to yourself. |

It's cheesy if your friend is korean and fucking retarded if she's not. |

I'd be curious to know the name first, but yeah, it's most likely lame. |

Tattooing is another example of something that started out as a cool sub or counter culture and was adopted by the masses and becomes a frat boy right of passage. You are not daring or different if you have a tattoo these days. In fact, you stand out if you don't have one. It goes to the whole punk/grunge style mentality of "I don't care how I look or what people think of me". I have never seen people who don't care what they look like spend more time and money on their appearance. Looking f*** up takes as much effort as looking preppy, gangster, greasy, whatever style you are shooting for. Tattoos are a fashion accessory to complete whatever style the wearer is trying to achieve.
I know a guy with a devil on the back of one arm(triceps) and an angel on the back of the other. I find that kind of cool. There is nothing worse than someone going into the details of their self designed tattoo, explaining how there is one shamrock for each of my family members who came to the states 200 years ago, and I'm 1/43rd Polish so there is a Polish flag in the background, and the star represents my stillborn puppy......blah...blah....blah |

"Tastes like kimchi"
You know where to put it.

Ooooh, this also reminds me of this person I know on facebook who posted pictures of her new tattoo. It's some kind of f'ed up looking phoenix. I'm sure the story to it is something like, "oh, this represents how I brought myself out of the ashes and born myself anew to start bla bla bla.".
Anyways, she's put on a few pounds, and I can NOT for the life of me determine which body part this tattooed slab of flesh belongs to.
