| I don't really see any difference between the Korean home that was being trashed on this show and any apartment I've moved into which was previously occupied by Koreans. |

Watch this video on house foreclosures. Pay attention at 1:30-1:50. |
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
MADE
MY
DAY
Thank you! |
Really? How so? No, I really want to hear how this particular video "made your day."
You've been in Korea for what a month? During that time you've developed such a loathing for Koreans that seeing a families possessions abandoned due to financial difficulties actually makes you happy?
Wow. You are sad. Good luck. |

| Yeah, it is sad. But the OP's Through The Keyhole "Who would live in a place like this?" does add an element of humour to the video. I had a guilty chuckle, but hope the family will be ok. |

Yes, it's sad. I don't wish foreclosure on a family just because they're Korean.
I did, however find the shots of the kitchen pretty funny just because I've never moved into an apartment in Korea without leftover kimchi, ramyeon, rotting produce, and a pair of used shower sandals. |

| what a sad video.....the little girl's dresses and kids toys. so many personal belongings left behind. even though the people make the choice to leave all that stuff behind, i have to wonder why. why would you leave behind clothes, computers, and other useful or even necessary things- especially if you are low on money? looks like a nice house too. |

Why is it sad?
Its a Korean family left their house and discarded something they thought valueless which they dont even bother donating or carrying with them.
People who have computers to dump are not pathetic...
We are pathetic to worry about a little girls toys and skirts, I bet she has way more clothes than I do... |

I'm the poster boy for the subprime lending crisis.
Every time I've ever moved, I've left behind loads of useful stuff.
Or discarded it myself if I might have a deposit returning my way.
Somehow I doubt they were forced to abandon their hopes and dreams and prized worldly possessions.
But yeah, in the order I became aware they're "Kimberleys:" [what ingrate came up with that one? I still like gook]
Shin ramyeon (my fav)
Giant jug of kimchi
soju bottle (thanks to JC I even noticed it ) |

the girls dresses might not have fit her anymore! so the mum thought don't worry we will buy new ones in dongdaemun! all the other stuff wasn't wroth the hassle of trying to sell to used dealers, korean style is don't clean the house when you are done with it! just leave!
Its a foreclosure, they know it will all be cleaned up.. doesn't belong to them anymore, so skip out.. they probably had credit card debts too who knows... did they leave the states?? or did they just leave the state?
anyway seems like from the video they left back to korea..
good on them... I would have left all that stuff behind too..I mean if you know trashmen are coming in to empty the house, why pay a coupe thousand dollars to have to emptied yourself..
but leaving the kimchi out??? ummmm maybe the grandmother was trying to pack it, and the mother kept saying NO NO and a fight broke out ,mean while the father finished off the soju with some cup rameon while the grandmother and mother inlaw faught over the kimchi, finally the grandmother lost so they just left it on the table and left! |

Just to be clear on my own part, I wrote "Where do you think this family was from?". No humor was meant other than that it's funny to see something that is now so easily identified. A year ago I would not have blinked. Today I see something would not have been there, to my eyes. Funny how I changed.
I am not sad at all for the family that left as I have no idea what happened. Maybe they won the Lottery and left the place. Maybe they are criminals and are on the run. Maybe they miss Korea so bad they skated with big smiles on. I don't know. |
