|
|
Flew into Toronto today to get my visa stamp. They tell me I now need transcripts as well. I called before and they never mentioned this, and read on the website of the requirement, and transcripts were not there I already have my visa confirmation and issuance number, thus my transcripts have already been in.
I went to school in New Brunswick. My flight to Korea is scheduled for tmrw night at midnight. Any other options you guys can think of? There's no way I can get my transcripts here by tomorrow at 5pm because there is a storm in eastern canada and by university is closed all day.
Any help thoughts or suggests would be greatly appreciated!
thanks |

Damn you, Toronto Consulate! Damn you to the hell from which you came!
I don't think there's anything you can do, other than go back to the consulate and argue with them.
Thanks for the warning though, I'm going to order a few extra transcripts just in case. |

Sorry man... You're fudged... Toronto changes rules for no one and the *b***h behind the visa counter has been on a power trip for at least a year (from everything I've read and experienced myself last August...)
You'll need a sealed copy of your transcripts for your visa, and another set if you want them to verify a notorized copy of your degree... They don't care that someone in Korea has verified all of your stuff, they want to do it themselves for "security"...
You would think that in the current teacher-shortage situation they would start streamlining this damn process... Sorry to hear that the T.O. Consulate has claimed another victim...
(BTW - Are you a first time E2 applicant? If so you're gonna have to either stick around or fly back for an interview in one - four weeks time... No way you're flying out tomorrow...) |

You could always try to being unofficial transcripts and explain what happened. I mean really don't have any other choice.
If you cancel the flight there is a small percentage the airline take away from the total price of the ticket. I know with American for example it is 100 taken of what you paid and you get the remaining balance. |

A few questions. You had already affixed all the consular seals, so they saw one of your transcripts already right?
So what happened? Did they let you through or did you cancel your flight? |

Not that night, which my flight was scheduled for.
And yes, they already had my transcripts, so I am not too sure what happened there.
I ended up having my interview with them today, and they are saying they should have everything done for me by tomorrow at 2pm. So I'll hope for the best, as I have another flight scheduled from Toronto at 11:50pm tomorrow night.
I'll let ya know how it goes from here |

Torronto consulate comes up time and time again.
There should probably be a thread where people can post their negative experiences. Then you guys can all get together, and hatch a plan to displace the employee causing all the grief. She sounds like a nightmare. |
