I bought a cowon O2 just over a week ago and am very happy with it. It plays everything you throw at it including HD video (though sometimes it snags on HD). Voice recorder records to flac, plays every audio format under the sun.

The only disappointment is that there is no pdf/doc reader. It only reads .txt files. Apparently there is a pdf reader in development, but who knows when that'll be ready.

Anyone else have one of these?

Nice...here are a couple forums that I use for my d2. You can get firmware hacks and themes here or just generally wank about the o2. I'd like one myself but will watch to see if the price drops any.

Don't forget one of these:

The O2's are really cool. Maybe the best PMP out there.

Is the file browser and file loading system as confusing as the Cowon S9???

I hate the file loading method on my S9!!

The file system is pretty good, could be improved - it's definitely not as slick or intuitive as the ipod touch, but no transcoding and the SD slot make it superior in my opinion.

I have a Cowon O2 and a D2. As much as I love my O2, I wish it had some of the features the D2 has. My biggest problem with the O2 is accessing the SD memory card. It takes too long and you can't randomly play music from the internal flash memory and the SD card at the same time. So to avoid this problem, I just put music on the one or the other.

The O2's screen is great and navigation isn't bad. I agree it would be so much better if you could view PDF and/or doc files.

I feel the picture viewer is rather limited too. Wish it was more like the Ipod Touch where you can just move it around when you enlarge it.

Can't be perfect I guess Smile
