Last year, I had 22 regular classes and 2 after school classes.

This year, I will have 20 regular classes and 2 after school classes, similar to my first contract.

This is fantastic news. I don't care about losing the overtime money, because I will go up from 2.1 to 2.3 for the next contract anyway.

My new co-teacher seems to be quite nice and I won't have so much work to do. I hope they want to renew my contract!

Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. Laughing Laughing Laughing

That's technology for you. I've frantically tried to delete them, it took a while.

I am so happy right now. Laughing Laughing Laughing

Which one has it better:

working 30 hours, teaching 30 hours in a typical 3-9 hagwon

working 40 hours, teaching 20 hours in a public school gig

*shrug* ... depends on the bloke

If I wasn't studying, I'd have left by now. It's disgusting how little work I have to do for my money.

How'd you get that gig? I'd take 1 teaching hour and 40 working hours over 30 teaching hours and 30 work hours any day. You can't call it work if you're not really working. But then again, I hate teaching. Why am I here you ask? I ask myself that question everyday and am considering leaving. To what? I don't know.

Why am I answering my own questions? I'm not sure.

Last semester was 18.

The brilliance at the hive have yet to do the schedule, but probably 20 classes, which is unfortunate.

I too hope my teaching hours are low, but I still don't yet know as nothing is exactly planned out yet. No schedules nor a school year calendar exist yet in my schools. There weren't any classes today even though it's the 1st day of school as no one seems to be ready. I don't know when I'll start teaching, but I don't mind getting extra free time to print my materials and surf the net.
