She feels so knows everything, that's all. She says she hates boxing and we almost broke up over my watching it. She's ridiculous, but is beginning to break the levee at which point I'll just get fed up with her controlling, almost domineering, attitude.

Same reason Americans think Mexicans smell and talk weird, or Brits think the French smell and talk weird. Cultural stereotype reinforced by a small amount of anecdotal evidence.

Well they are pretty damn freaky, so that's understandable. As far as I know, they only commit human sacrifice.

Sort of an update here. She's absolutely fluent in English, but has never left Korea. I'm afraid to ask her how she got fluent -- I mean we have conversations about acid jazz, good literature, and then tonight she brought up "dogging."

OP is so much in love with his sassy Korean gf......Congrats Wink

You could convince her most Chinese smell like Jajangmyeon and they talk weird because they eat too much toxic food. Laughing

Most (Asian?)girls are pretty ignorant when they are dating (of course in a tolerable way)...on the other hand they amaze you at times by talking about ...eg. Evangelicals... that's why they attract you...

Congratulations--you're dating an idiot.

She sounds cute, though.

I concur. The thread title is "GF gets Angry", then we have a 2 page discussion on how Japanese walk like penguins. WTF?

I have talked to a lot of my Japanese students about this. We have all come to the unscientific conclusion that the leg problem is from kneeling weird. When girls kneel here they stick their legs out to the sides, kind of like a frog. I have friends here here that go to doctors to get their legs straightened.

As for the teeth, the Japanese jaw is much narrower than the Mongol jaw. It is thought that the Japanese jaw has narrowed through time and breeding...hence the f@#$ed up pearly whites (which aren't so pearly).

dude, just dating is the key here. you are not married.

As long as you are "hitting it" (sory for the feminists), keep on keeping on. Ignore her dumb spit until she goes bonkers on you and threatens to cut your balls off with a knife or something..

just have fun. u r pokin' a foreign chick. enjoy. DO not fall in love though. you'll end up like my friend who married his K "poke friend".... BIG MISTAKE. He went from free spirit fun guy to miserable bastard in four months....good luck

forget old....look at all the young people who are bow-legged. it seems very common in teenagers and young women. almost every day i am out i see at least a few girls who are obviously very bow-legged and just have the strangest legs. i don't get it. the only explanation i've come up with is the way they are carried on the mom's back in those blanket things when they are small- their legs are widely splayed open to accommodate. but babies are pretty flexible so even though it is the only thing i can think of, it doesn't seem like a very likely reason. i mean, how much time could they possibly spend in that position to end up causing permanent damage?

I always assumed the penguin-walking girls i had seen in japan were those who have had foreign boyfriends. Or with me in my previous trips but had escaped my memory. Yes, i have seen japanese porn. The japanese fellas are wielding peanuts. An abnormality caused by their forefathers running around in hot black ninja suits and heating up their bits to mutation-causing temperatures.

I have to admit, the bowlegged walk of the j-girls is appealing in some weird way. I'm in china now... maybe i'll try to encourage the the emergence of foot-binding again. Hobbling deformed women. YES!

We went to a wedding yesterday in Incheon. The pastor said in Korean that women should obey their husbands as it is God's law. She got really upset about that. I agree that men and women are equal, though.

I love her but don't think for one minute I could marry her. And this is a problem for me since I feel I should be dating someone I can foresee myself being with a long time.

She sees everything in black and white. She's 27 in Korean age. Her mother says she is a bitch, and she admits this much. Her mother also says she'll find it hard to find a man to marry.

Trust me. I've sen it before. The mother is giving you an out. When the mom says, my daughter is unarriable, she MEANS it. usually K moms want nothing more for their daughters to get married, but when their daughter is out of control or weird, the will not give their blessing because it will come back to haunt them. It will make the mom look bad. It's worse for a mom to have a single daughter than to have a divorced daughter with, possibly, kids that the mom will have to support financially and take care of while her divorced daughter works the ajussi bar scene.

run away. and run fast.

Outside my train station, like any station, there's a waiting area for buses. I told her that I'd be waiting outside by the buses there. She apparently didn't see me and proceeded to walk across the street to another bus stop. When she figured out she had misunderstood me, she got really upset and angry. This girl has some major anger issues.

Yesterday she told me she doesn't want to share a bed with her husband should she ever marry. She wants her own room to do her things in (that's fine, okay), but will not share a bed. I have no idea what to think of her.

I told her I wanted my key back yesterday after some more petty crap and then she finally wised up and started acting genuine. She says she wants to act like a kid sometimes when she's mad like a typical Korean girl (her words), even though she believes herself to be the antithesis of one. We didn't really break up, though.
