I usually spend my time at school listening to a free online station. Do any of you guys have suggestions on decent subscription services that you use? Any decent sites out there? |

If you want to cut through a lot of chaff, try my collection of major world stations (focused on Talk). http://eflclassroom.com/radio.htm
We also have free Arirang and Teacher TV on EFL Classroom 2.0
I find the player great with advanced students! Especially to listen to the accents from everywhere. I love Air America though now post Bush - the tone has died down a little....

I use a program called LiveStation to watch international news TV feeds. There are a lot of radio stations linked to the program too.
You can watch BBC, CNN, Al Jazeera, CBC, and a bunch of others in many different languages.

All you need is fast internet. And it's free! |

Most of radio stations now allow you to listen online. If you know the name of the station you used to listen to back home, google it. It should come up and you can listen directly from the station, no need to download anything. That's what I'm doing. I get all the updated news back home. The downside is you might get homesick. |

Hey guys thanks a lot for the suggestions.
I never listen to any news or talk radio though....I just listen to music..jazz/metal/rock/80's etc etc.. so something along those lines is what I'm looking for.
Hey Bass....that's what I've been using..Live365. Do you subscribe to them...they claim that with a paid subscription you will have CD quality sound. Is it true? Thanks. |

No, I'd never pay them for that. Seems like the sound quality on several of the stations are good enough for me. Aren't many of them 128k already? |
