Apparently it is very authentic, the Korean government were a little concerned about the implications of this movie. i want to see it to but I'll wait for the DVD. Koreans do put out some good movies sometimes. |

Did you watch it in Korean? Are there English subtitles or are you that good at Korean? |

Waggo, if it's the best you've seen, watch some more. There are MUCH better movies than Shilmidoh. And to answer the original question, it's very close to the truth except I believe two civilians died in the stand-off before they blew themselves up, and that is not shown in the movie. |

I watched it in Korean.I filled in the bits I didnt understand by asking my girlfriend who was sitting next to me...much to the annoyance of the Ajossi who was sitting next to her.
Its all action though so you get it.
Hey Cedar...what do you reccomend? |

That movie was DOPE!
My favorite part was when they were walking on the beach in a single file, and the dude shoulders his weapon and busts a cap into the sentry.
SWEET!
The part that sucked was when they were getting waxed in the bus. I don't know why they rolled into an open danger area and allowed themselves to be surrounded. That's a good way to get dead fast... As witnessed in the movie.
(Keep in mind that I am commenting on the movie.)
Stay Alert, Stay Alive! Hua! |

That movie was lame. I could barely wait for it to end, same with my K-girl, albeit she's more western than korean. However some girls kept crying next to me. It probably hits a nerve better with true Koreans. I thought, like most Korean films, it was overly dramatic and exaggerated.
Are they still showing movies with English subtitles at Cinecore? |

Do other folks a service by stating the name, wag.
For those clueless, he refers to Shil Mi Doh.

I agree, however I did enjoy the film. Still, it's not the best Korean film made.
one of the contenders for that film would be NOWHERE TO HIDE (Injeong Sajeong Beohldtkeot Eobtha).

I watched it last night. It's only the fourth Korean movie I've ever seen. The only reason I went was because I read an article about it. The story itself is quite fascinating; the movie itself could have been much, much better. I still liked JSA better as far as Korean movies go. Yes, there is a lot of action in it. Then again so does the Last Samurai and there is a HOT japanese girl and it's mostly in English!!! |

I remember reading an article about before it came out.
Also, today in the Herald there was an article saying that it's the first Korean film to have 6 million in 28 days, and that it's the only film in the world to beat LOTR. |
