I've been looking into that as well.

Probably the most practical way is to go through the following agency. It's something like 30,000 per year (last I checked) to insure your stuff up to 10 million won:

Welcome to our AIG! Our Auto and property insurance staff has been providing outstanding service to foreigners in South Korea for over 16 years. Our English speaking staff is ready to give you a free insurance quote today. We are conveniently located on the 2nd Fl., Daejin Bldg. #36-39 Itaewon-Dong, Yongsan-Gu, Seoul 140-862 Korea, by Yongsan Gate #52. Call 822-794-7414, 822-793-6903 (Office), 8211-9873-7415 (Mobile) or e-mail: [email protected] for service today.

I had a podcast up with this lady, but some of the time-sensitive information in the podcast changed, so I took it down.

There are other companies, too, but this one speaks English that I know of. They are AIG (the US company that has been getting bail-out money) but by Korean law, they must co-sign with a Korean company to operate here -- in short, you'll be covered even if AIG goes under.
