Hi all,

Think I know the answer to this already, but is it possible to get an E2 visa with a pass degree?

I know they say it has to be a four year degree, but has anyone ever heard of anyone who's slipped through the cracks?

Thanks.

I think it's an ordinary degree but with a pass mark....as long as it's a 3 or 4 year degree then you will get in.

as i used to always tell my kids when they were scared of thier parent seeing their grades -----"C's make degrees"

Is that what they do when you "pass" all you classes, but your GPA doesn't meet the department/degree requirements?

If one hasn't met the degree requirements, how can one receive the degree?

nah if he is from the u.k or Ireland, (possibly europe cos i think they all came together to have the same degree names and percentage marks for distinctions etc)

we work like this:

1:1 (first class honours degree) / distinction / = 70% -100%

2:1 (second class honours degree) / Merit 1 = 60% - 70%(formerly 63-70)

2:2 (third class honours degree) / Merit 2 = 50%- 60%(formerly 55-63)

Pass degree = 40%-50%

you will pass your degree with 40-50% but if you are on a three year ordinary bachelor's degree trying to advance to the 4 year honours bachelor degree most universities will not allow youto carry on without taking a year or two out

A pass degree is a 3-year degree.

OP, yes, you can get your visa with that. If you're from Canada, for example, you don't have to slip through the cracks; it's not an issue at all.

No, I'm sorry, but that's totally wrong.

I mentioned Canada. It has nothing to do with the marks.

The pass degree is what you are enrolled in. You could have a 99% average and it's still a pass degree.

yes totally wrong if you're talking about little america but i'm talking about the u.k and Ireland, which i stated above, and a 3 year degree here is called an ordinary degree and you get a pass degree when you get between 40-50, if he is from little america then you're right!

* I know canada is huge, but i'm talking about power Smile
