Any issues playing online video games in Korea? i imagine the connection is pretty shit as the majority of Xbox gamers live in North America. Let me know how you guys have found it.

No problems here. Internet in Korea is generally very fast, I experience a little lag playing with people in North America, but it usually isn't as bad as you might think (sometimes it is). There are usually plenty of Asian servers as well.

One more question.

If I have a Korean Xbox and Asian region games, will I still be able to play people with American Xbox's and North American region games?

I am heading over to SK next month, in your opinion would it be better for me to bring my 360 over or just buy one once I get in country?

well I get a shit connection. never usually above one little red bar while everyone else has great connections. My internet is fairly fast at home but I guess you just need a superfast connection to enjoy properly.

It depends how long you're planning on staying in the country. If you're only gonna be here for a year I recommend bringing your NA Xbox. If you were to buy an Asian Xbox and brought it back it home, there's a chance that not many North American games would work on the system. Someone will probably say that you can just get the Asian Xbox modified, but you'll be taking the chance of your Xbox being 'bricked' by Microsoft if you hook it up to the internet. In short, bring the NA Xbox on your carry-on. Make sure you wrap it up really well and that it is safe and secure.

What red bar are you talking about? I have the fastest connection with KCTV and I have no connection problems. Online opponents never say I'm lagging. The only time I have any problems is playing against UK opponents. They usually blame it on their sh*tty connections.

you get it in a lot of games, like call of duty and streetfighter for example. it's like a little bar graph that shows what your connection is like. anyway mine is almost always very bad and on other games like left 4 dead I always lose my connection.

Thanks Doc Oc, I will most likely be lugging my Xbox out to SK. Like I don't have enough crap already going.

Mine always shows just 1 bar too on SFIV, but I don't think that thing is very accurate.
What's your gamertag? Maybe we can go head to head on SFIV. I'm not that great, but I'm up for a challenge. My gamertag is ChronoSparks.

I wouldn't check it in your luggage if I was you. Luggage handlers have been known to steal game consoles. Don't take the chance.

I took a couple Xanax with me and they didn't even do anything. I wonder if I'm immune to them or something. The dramamine (motion sickness pills) knocked me out though.
