uk/korean power conversion

hi

bringing my laptop over to seoul next week from london ,uk


it says 110-240v input 1.6a 50-60hz on the laptop power brick (its an acer travelmate)

what do i need to plug this in when i get here?

i it something i can buy at the airport?

it will be fine, its the americans who have to worry about fizzling their laptops because they run on a lower voltage.

just buy a three prong to two prong (make sure its the right two prong there are different ones)

your laptop will be fine.

You can probably find one at the airport, if not, go to yongsan electronics market in seoul (it's worth a visit even as a tourist) and draw a picture of three plug holes with UK written next to it, just say uk ....korea.

All you need is a plug adapter.

5 quid at the airport and 500 won from the stationary shop nearest your new home.

Most U.S. Laptops run the same powerbrick as those from any other country. Its just the chord out of the powerbrick that is different.

Nowadays most things are rated 110 - 250V.
