They are ex-hookers. The below quote is from the article:

A more realistic way of saving working women from the street is to take them off the streets and open fishbowl style massage parlours. This offers a clean safe working enviroment for the women. It also provides a comforatable viewing enviroment where the johns can view and choose the merchandise.
Actually The Eden club in BKK has the right idea. Provide the health checks at the bars |
