2 Yukon Mounties charged with sexually assaulting woman

Police force brings in observers to ensure impartial investigation
Last Updated: Wednesday, March 11, 2009 | 3:51 PM CT

Yukon RCMP spokesman Sgt. Mark Groves said they are taking steps to ensure a fair and impartial investigation into the two Watson Lake officers charged with sexual assault. (CBC)Two RCMP officers based in Watson Lake, Yukon, have been charged with sexual assault following an attack on a woman earlier this week, the police force said Wednesday.

A woman told police she was sexually assaulted by two off-duty officers early Sunday morning in the southern Yukon town of 850, an RCMP spokesman told CBC News on Wednesday.

Both officers have been suspended with pay. Police say they will not release the officers' names until they make their first court appearance on April 6.

Gotta love cop haters...

Quote:
Yeah, cop, I know you, man. I know what you're thinking. You're thinking, we've got us another crazy nigger here with a gun. Well, let me tell you something. Human life means very little to me at this point in time. You see, I thrive on misery. In the jungle, misery's all you got. But things are different back here in the world, or so they seem. Nobody wants to talk about pain and suffering. Everybody wants everything to be nice and civil. Well, okay then. Let's be nice; let's be civil...

The only time I ever had problems with cops was shortly after I got my license. I was stopped for more "random" checks and completely other stupid reasons just to check out me and my friends cruising around than I care to remember. We're teenagers, must be up to something bad you know. Never mind me and my friends were all straight-A, non-drinkers.

One time a cop saw us, made an illegal U-turn, passed a couple other cars and stopped me, first thing I said was why are you stopping me, "random check" he says. I haven't been stopped once (short of actually random checks) in the nearly twenty years since. If I had been black instead of just a teenager, these cops probably would've been fired for profiling, if such a thing existed then.

I feel sorry for cops, really. The majority don't enter the force with the intention of being a scum bag but I can see how the world would turn your altruistic idealism on it's head. I can imagine how dealing with scum bags day in, day out would turn you into a scum bag.

Mind you, I'm sure plenty cops were scum bags before they entered the force.

I feel sorry for the decent cops out there, but I have seen so much corruption from my small town alone and read so many other accounts that I feel that cops who break the law are the lowest of the low.

Yet, time and time again, they either get away with their crimes, or receive a lesser sentence than civilians when I think they should in fact, get double the sentence.[/quote]

cops are only as good as the society or community they come from....a police officer from some red-neck hillbilly town in Kentucky or a chav from Birmingham is more likely to be a dirtball cop than not....maybe I'm generalizing but one thing is true...they are only as good as the society they come from...

Cops shouldn't be trusted.

I've had two things stolen from me in my life, but the only time something was straight-up snatched off my person was when the cops took it.

Another reason why I LIKE cops:

A 'dirtbag' in Polk County Florida who got pulled over in a routine traffic stop ended up 'executing' the deputy who stopped him. The deputy was shot eight times, including once behind his right ear at close range. Another deputy was wounded and a police dog killed. A state wide manhunt ensued.

The low-life was found hiding in a wooded area with his gun. SWAT team officers open fired and hit the guy 68 times.

Naturally, the media went nuts and asked why they shot him 68 times. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd, told the Orlando Sentinel: "Because that's all the ammunition we had."
