I just had a Grade 4 class and there is one student who is quite physical, he attempts to bond with me physically, with some affection.

Today, he got quite silly, excited. He tried to hit me and fiddle with my beard. This continued near the end of class, so I grabbed him by his coat, while he struggled to escape. I held onto him, he resisted, but without success.

I told my co-teacher he was trying to hit me. She remonstrated with him and he walked off at the end of class, giving me a shocked look.
