An organization called Greater Good has a clever idea. You simply click a button on their homepage and the sponsors of it pay money to such causes as

World Hunger
Breast Cancer
Child Literacy & Health
Rain Forest Preservation
and Animal Welfare

You can click on any or all of them everyday (like I do) and presto! You have done some good for the world without leaving the comfort of your chair.

www.thehungersite.com

Links to the other causes can be found at the top of this page.

It's interesting that I don't want to help when it's too easy. Maybe because there is no potential for garnering respect and admiration, or even for improving myself.

If you want to improve yourself try

www.freerice.com

You can slowly improve your vocabulary and donate rice through the UN.

I really like the freerice site. The game is pretty interesting and it makes me feel like my English isn't getting worse from my time here.

Thank you! I love the free rice site. It's fun to challenge yourself. Feels like a game of Jeopardy almost. Smile
