I see that alot of people here have more prep/office hours than actual classroom hours, which is complete nonsense. Other people here do grading and prep on their own time. What kinds of jobs will allow you to make your own prep schedule? What should I look for as that is rather important to me?

I believe on average teachers work 30 hours a week, teaching at least 24 hours a week.

I work from 8:00am to 3:50pm M-F. No Saturdays, of course, as I'm at a public high school.

CDI is either 4 - 10 or 4:30 - 10:30 (evenings) with teachers coming in 30-45 minutes early to sign-in. This is mandatory.
