Who knows the low-down on these things?
I am just beginning proceedings against my boss at the labour board for "wrongful dismissal." I just got a job offer and there is no way they will give me a release letter. I heard on"The Midnight Runner" podcast about a guy who went to immi and demanded an exit order and got it. He quit for not being paid, but I am thinking (hoping) the reason is immaterial.
So, I am wondering if I will be able to get one on the spot as easily as him. Anyone else do this? |

I don't believe making demands of any sort at Immigration is productive.
Exit order sounds like one step less serious than detention followed by deportation.
I once requested and finally got a letter of release. NO one ever asked to see it. |

I agree with NOT demanding- puts everyone in a snit- then no one wanted to help. I would have just asked. However, I asked at the school and got the letter no problem. |
