I'm moving soon from Daejeon to Gangwondo and I'm going to be sending several boxes to my new place.
I assume the post office would be my best bet, but are there any cheaper alternatives? I don't need the boxes to be delivered quickly, just cheaply.
Thanks |

Just double-check with any private delivery company (택 배-- "Taekbae"), they MIGHT be cheaper. (Faster, for sure)
You can also get the Korean version of a "Man with a van" if you don't have a lot of stuff and ride up with them in their Bongo/Porter along with your boxes. Check any of the free advertising papers, if your Korean skills are up to scratch. Couple of years ago, I moved from Kwangju (Jeollanamdo) to Kangwon this way and the whole thing (boxes/me) cost me about 100,000 won for the 5 hour trip.
Happy moving. |
