|
|
Hey Daves Community:
This is a warning I received from what I believe a reputable source:
Be Aware that the MPAA have released ice age 3 dvdrip not even a cam yet, now this torrent is a tracer torrent which means if you connect to download it for as little as prolly 10 mins the MPAA will have ya ip and details so they will come and bust ya so if any see ICE AGE 3 dvdrip on an open site ignore it and dont get it as it a tracer, if ya see it on a private site make sure it has been downloaded in full and check the comments b4 downloading, open sites include mininova, btjunkie, sumo torrent etc"

You means it's actually illegal to download much of the content linked through mininova.org?
Didn't see the whole movie listed in my search, just trailers. |

warning: Don't download Ice Age 3 !
It sucks, save you bandwidth. They could at least tag a good movie.
Problem is there are so few. Even De Niro and Pacino are taking crap roles.
Hey Hollywood....make a good movie and I will pay to see it at a theatre! And I don't mean some batman superhero BS either. |

So lets say for arguments sake, that you download no other illegal stuff. Just this one. Then how can they bust you for it? Didn't they release it themselves? If you're breaking the law then so are they. Of course if you have other stuff on your HDD (and who doesn't) you're toast. |

Well, I for one have been warned here by KT, my ISP. While this hasn't done much to curtail my downloading, it has given me that nagging, small wonder. |

You get one warning. After that, you're fair game. Anyone have a link to that article about this? Just saw it in a Korean newspaper a week or two ago. |

Bittorent is old news, in my opinion. Forumw.org and warez-bb.org are where I get my zero hour TV and films. I get my updated Daily Show's, Hell Kitchen's, and Law and Order: SVU's at those two places. |

I recall it being a game. It was well over a year ago, and it was a good thing to have happen; it made me more discriminate in my downloading, both regarding content and choosing trackers.
Generally I keep away from things less than 6 months old, as I have heard it is in that timeframe that the powers at be are most militant; this seems to be the most profitable time period for software/media. |
