Wondering if anybody has gone to a mandarin hagwon in Central/Western Seoul that they recommend.

Yes I do, I've been studying it solo for the last 10 months or so but sporadically. Taking a class would up the motivation factor. |

You can get private lessons from Korean-Chinese people in Korea for as little as 10,000 won an hour. Try that route. |

Yeah, I wouldn't bother wasting money on a hagwon. Cram school, really.
Either do what yaya said, or look in Korea Herald's bulletine board for *language exchange*.. there are always Chinese there looking for friends.
I've been trying to think if I know any Chinese in Seoul, surprisingly, the answer is a big fat *no*! I am a bit shocked actually.. the only ones I know are students at Wae-dae / Foreign University. |

I went the private lessons routes and did language exchanges (still do those), but I think doing the 'cram school' route works better for me cuz I'm a bad self studier. The websites say "회화" so I think I'll give that a go and see if it's helpful.
I guess I'll do the hagwon for a month and see how it goes, but thanks for the advice all. |
