Anybody know where to get a remote control for Power Point? Last year a poster bought one and put a photo and address up for us - but I can't find it on the search function.

I've moved into a new classroom - and it's got a huge flat-screen TV in the middle of the W/B. So I'm constantly running between 2 whiteboards - either side of the TV. Or worse, my co-teachers are sitting down and operating power point - so the kids at the back of the class are starting to talk and sleep. I need to get my enforcers back to monitoring the back of class.

Any help appreciated.

you can use the Microsoft Presenter 8000: a great way to sever the cord between you and the computer/content, and depending on how you use it, it can also aid student interaction.

Invest the 90.000 or so it costs; it's not just a .ppt control, but a wireless mouse, AV program control (Media Player, and GOM tested personally), and it's got other functions as well: magnifier, and control panel split view...well worth it if you've got the tech. and programs/files to really put it to good use.

EDIT: Yongsan. The Microsoft store was more expensive than the seperate little stores on the 3rd/4th floor.

Kyobo sell them, but they're expensive.

You could always ask one of your CTs to order you one from GMarket. Alternatively, get the school to buy one for you.

Thanks for the tips. I'll get my wrangler to buy me one from GMART.

Aint no way I'm buying it - the school's just spent, won 50,000,000 on a room that's full of teaching design faults. It's so frustrating trying to use student-centred stuff in there. It's the worst room I've taught in - and, hopefully, this gizmo will cut out one of the annoyances.
