Two ips
12.180.48.10 nyc (150ms)
124.212.171.44 japan (in the early 200s)
Why are pings to japan always so bad, aside from the obvious theory? |

There are many possible reasons for NY pinging lower than Japan. Routing, hops, time of day, traffic... |

I've noticed that over the past 3-6 months my connections with Japan have been a lot slower than they used to be. I thought maybe it was just in my head. . . |

It's definitely always too high a ping to Japan. The distance is miniscule. They must have some crap international links with them. |
