But according to reports in the Los Angeles Times newspaper, authorities are searching for a 70-year-old man believed to be the gunman. |
Not surprising coming from an ageoshi. It's no wonder we don't give them guns here. |

MORE GUNS! MORE GUNS!
This seems to be happen everyweek in the U.S of A. Doesn't matter that the person was Korean. It is the fact that the accessibility of guns and the types of bloody dangerous guns that people have access to.
Yes, most people in the States who own a gun are not going on a shooting rampage but I still scratch my head as to these never ending tragedies.
And please don't give the 2nd Amendment nonsense please. |

believe it or not, there are plenty of us citizens who are firmly for rigid gun control and well aware of the awful reality of guns in our country. then again, if you're just looking for an argument, I'm sure you'll have no trouble finding one here. |

from here:
TEMECULA, Calif. A gunman opened fire at a Korean Christian retreat center on Tuesday night, killing one and wounding three others, authorities said.
The gunman was believed to be among the injured at the Kkottongnae Retreat Camp, and investigators were unsure what prompted the attack, sheriff's spokesman Dennis Gutierrez said.
"We have some nuns that are very distraught," Gutierrez said.
Gutierrez said at least two of the victims were critically injured. A nursing supervisor at the Inland Valley Regional Medical Center near the retreat said she had no information on any of the victims.
Police and emergency crews converged on the rural area off Highway 79 after receiving reports about 7 p.m. that a gunman had shot his wife, said Mario Lopez, a spokesman with the California Highway Patrol. He said one person was dead when they arrived and the other three were hospitalized.
Law enforcement officers interviewed people at what appeared to be a triage center for injured victims, but Gutierrez said the language barrier was making it difficult to get all the facts. He said investigators believe all the victims are over age 40.
The retreat is one of four U.S. branches of the Kkottongnae Brothers and Sisters of Jesus, a Catholic organization dedicated to serving the poor and homeless. It was founded in the city of Cheongju, South Korea, by Father Oh Woong Jin in 1976.
A woman who answered the phone at the group's Lynwood branch on Tuesday night said she did not speak English well and declined to discuss the shooting.
Kkottongnae means "flower village," according to the organization's Web site.

Amendment 2 - Right to Bear Arms. Ratified 12/15/1791. Note
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Now does that mean that every American is in the militia? Where the two boys with automatic weapons in Columbine in a Militia? Was the virginia Tech student in the Militia?
And then when you see images such as these it just... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrXx3QA5YHU&feature=related
It's a lot different than the average family day outing.
But little Britain (USA) illustrates the love of Americans and guns perfectly: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8UgOvJVol8
I won't argue here because I know it is pointless as the love of guns in the USA is unbelievable.
I don't know the statistics but I think it is close to 20,000 Americans are killed each year by guns. Far greater per capita ratio than any other country.
Accidental shootings by children with guns in the house again.
Please, come at me with your reasons you have the opportunity to voice your opinion but I won't respond as it will be pointless. I won't change your mind and you won't change mine.
Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread. But it could have gone onto another Korean bashing scene. |

Far greater per capita ratio than any country? Wrong.
Britian has an epidemic of stabbing deaths. I would much rather be shot to death than stabbed to death.
The problem with gun control in the US is that the horse left the barn a long time ago. Outlawing guns now would mean only outlaws could have guns.
With freedom comes responsibility and unfortunately some people dont demonstrate this responsibilty. |

So four people are shot and because they belong to two groups you despise: Koreans and Christians, you are happy about it?
