We're looking for cheap accomodations (50,000 or less) on Jeju for the 4-day weekend in May. Can anyone recommend a place that isn't too shabby? |

I went last year and found loads of places in Seogwipo-shi (the city on the Southern end of the island) for that budget. I was there in the off season, so I just walked in and found a place, but I bet you're wanting to reserve ahead due to the holiday. I forget what the ones we stayed in were called, sorry.
I think you're best to have a friend who speaks Korean call around to a few. There's probably a directory online. Our place had a lovely view of the bay and ocean...was clean, and had a big tub!
Good luck...I lvoed Jeju. My parents are going there next week, so if they come back with names, I'll pass them along. |

stayed at the 'Handoo motel' in Seogwipo for a few nights last week. Payed 40,000/ night but proly cheaper with less people. The place was super clean and seemed fairly new. If you take the limousine bus from the airport, it'll drop you off very close to the Handoo.
Also, Seogwipo has a much more laid back feel to it than Jeju city.
