Isn't this just the Brazilian version of what the French seem to call the Anglo-Saxon disease or something similar? Whatever, he's not entirely wrong. |

It's popular to say that all the worlds problems are because of white people with blue eyes...and when you have a Brazilian constituency where those kinds of people are in the miniscule minority...they are ideal targets politically. It's not any different than Indonesians blaming their Chinese population, or Germany once blaming their Jewish population, etc. |

Yeah, that's why I preceeded the appellation 'idiot' with 'populist.' At any rate, I thought Lula was a serious head of state. I've been disabused of that notion. I thought I'd share it with all of you.

How about a single brown eyed banker? Brazil isn't exactly renown for it's blue eyed masses, but maybe they just don't have bankers in Brazil. |

| Citi is run by an Indian. Merril was run by a black dude. Not many Jews have blue eyes, which cuts down most of the rest. I think Paulson has blue eyes, or green. |

| Brazilian TV must still be showing the old B&W version of The Three Stooges back when Bush, Cheney, and Paulson were playing Larry, Moe, and Curly. He'll back off his remarks when he sees the new lineup of Obama, Bernanke, and Frank. |
