Nikon D40 for sale...body with extras...

comes with D40 body, bag, wireless remote, 2 batteries, charger, 1gb SD card.

I bought it last July at technomart. I will provide the original box with instructions. The warranty is valid in Korea. D40 has less than 8000 actuations on it.

I checked on Gmarket for everything and this is the price breakdown:

New D40 body+charger+battery - 440,000 won
Bag - 28,000 won
SD Card 1GB - 7,000 won
Wireless Remote (ML-L3) - 17,500 won
Extra Battery - 45,000 won

Total = 537,500 won

Looking to get 350,000 won...i think that is a decent price for this package...

I guess the extra battery must be from Nikon itself at that price. Its possible to pick up third part batteries for 10,000KRW but I suppose there are those people that don't trust them.
How many shots does this camera have?
This could be a good camera for someone who wants to see what a difference an SLR can make without spending too much cash.
I recommend buying prime lens to get a better idea of how much better SLRs than a Point and Shoot.

For those of us who don't know so much about cameras and are looking to get our feet wet, how much does a decent lens cost?

An excellent used prime lens might set you back between 200-300KRW. A zoom lens would cost you more. If you are starting out I suggest getting a prime lens that is equiavlent to 40-50mm when you consider the crop factor of 1.5. I think Nikon makes some wicked 28-30mm lens that are about to come out on the market here in Korea.
