Here's a nice longish article about Cohen's current tour. From the sounds of it, the old boy still has the spark. Like the writer, I've been listening to Cohen for 40 years. I found his first album in a discount bin at an early version of Walmart when I was living in a commune and bought it because I knew one song. Turned out to be the house favorite for coming down after a trip. Very Happy

I met Cohen when at a Buddhist monestary just outside of L.A. I think it was Mt. Baldy?? back in 1997ish or 9ish. He had been staying there for quite awhile, at the time.

that was Nemoy. He has ten times the nerd value of Cohen. Do you remember episode 36 where Spock says, "We are doomed to this hell captain" and Kirk is like, "shut up! We hired you because you are supposed to be like a computer". Then Spock is like, "f-U KIRK, my moms was human! and the tribbles attack and then the klingons resuce them and then zarathrustra blow them all up?

His poetry aside, my favorite Leonard Cohen quotation is:

"Only in Canada could somebody with a voice like mine win 'Vocalist of the Year'."

A great artist, what is he, over 70 now? One who belongs to that small group of old greats who can still do a great job and write some amazing stuff.
