Anyone know any websites, prices, how to go about reservations? Additionally, I have May 4th and 5th off... so I have four days to see China. Beijing, is it? How long is the boat ride, and is it worth it (I live in Seoul)?

Thanks.

there is a ferry to Yantai, in shandong province , there is also a ferry to Tianjin near Beijing. I reccomend the ferry to Yantai because of your time constrants. Yantai has a great section of old European buildings that have been converted into restaraunts and bars. Penglai is an hour away , where the gorgeous penglai pavillion is: theis is a castle on a hill above the ocean, just gorgeous. Yantai also has a terific winery museum, several taoist and bhuddist temples. The website to check is the Wolf's Whistle , a site for expats and visitors.

4 days is just enought to fly straight to Beijing and enjoy a limited time just for that one city. Taking the boat and then a train would eat up all your time.

Did you see the "Slow boat to China" sticky thread on the travel forum?

Anyway, what DD said makes sense, 4 days isn't long, flights aren't so expensive, boats and trains take time and may be more hassle.
