| I just received my CDL contract and there's no mention of where I'll be placed. Has anyone experienced this? Thanks. |

| It doesn't say that assignments will be handed out after the one-week training? Email and ask. |

| Did you guys go through the recruiting company 'Aclipse'? I went through them, was offered a position with Chungdahm, and as of the last e-mail (I still have not officially gotten my contract), i was told that the contract would provide the location and the exact date of departure. |

OP - Are you sure you aren't talking about your Offer of Employment? Your Offer of Employment and actual teaching contract are two different things. After all of your documents have been shipped to Korea and checked, you will normally get your actual teaching contract which will state your hourly/monthly wage, your training dates, your first day of teaching date, and your school placement.
Hope that helps. |

CDL is Chungdahm Learning or formerly known as Chung Dahm Institute (CDI). Aclipse is the American side recruitment agency most widely associated with them.
CDI has a very informative, glossly .pdf pamphlet that Aclipse will send you when you inquire about them. I read it pretty thoroughly when my son applied to Aclipse, so have some first hand knowledge--I've read their contract (Teaching Service Agreement), appendix, and Memorandum of Understanding too. I was actually very impressed with their teaching philosophy but it became clear thru the boards that not everyone has a pleasant experience with them.
Here's the website:
