I got them last summer. Fresh mattress, blanket, pillow case washed regularly. Just small tiny bites here and there. I don't think its bed bugs.
You could get in an exterm service to check the place over.

ABC, NBC, CBS, and The Today Show all did a spot on bedbugs two weeks ago. They said there's an outbreak all over the U.S. and the rest of the world. You can pick them up anywhere and bring them home in your clothes, bags, etc. Once they get in your bed, it's hard to get them out. They can hide and wait for humans to come back for up to a year.

They even hide in the electrical outlets.

When I lived in rural parts of Korea, I noticed tiny, green, gnat, midge or fly like insects, that bite like mosquitoes. They were small enough to get through the mesh screens. Try insect repellant. They breed in rice paddies, lakes, or other clean waters.

Might be fleas. If it is, you should be seeing a lot of bites around the ankles.

uh, anywhere there's a mattress there can be bed bugs - if you mean Ks who sleep on the floor or just a mat don't have them that's one thing, but yes, they can have bedbugs here too, as someone said, they can travel.

muffin, you probably should go to the dr and let them check you out before you start exterminating or other drastic measures. they can tell you what it is (probably)

Are the bites in clusters? Like a bunch in one area? If so, they are most likely bed bugs. To say they don't have them here in Korea is just ignorant. I had them and was given this stuff called Tyra-X to use. It's a spray and it's not harmful to humans. I sprayed it around my entire apartment, and haven't gotten bit since. I'm sure there are still some around, but I'll just keep on spraying!
