Are you guys to cheap to spend 50 bucks to watch all the games live online?

Yes. There are plenty of options to watch the games for free.

Pens are 3-1! They play at home this Friday morning our time (8AM).

Tough league. Good parity.

I watched the Ducks and Sharks today by finding links at:
http://jtv-sports.com/
Have to look in the blogs to get the links. Might have to register too. They claim to have links to all kinds of live sports. I watched the CBC link for awhile, it froze up, then I watched a Versus link that was much better quality.

Here's another place I came across.
http://www.myp2pforum.eu/nhl-icehockey/
No registration for this one.
Haven't used it yet, but they even have video links to the IIHF games in Switzerland.

I'm not in Korea yet, so I watch them on CBC/TSN here. BUT last year I was in Austria and watched in on the CBC website that someone mentioned earlier and had no problem with it. Again, that was last year, and it wasn't during the playoffs, but it worked.

Oh, and to the Detroit fan that was mentioning Pittsburgh wanting to be "hockeytown." EVERYONE knows that Canada is the true "hockey nation" and the term "hockeytown" belongs up here Razz

IMO hockeytown is and always will be Toronto, although you will get arguments in Canada about that.

Washington just evened up their series with the Rangers. Hope game 7 goes into overtime.

Still laughing at how cheap people are. The games on those other sites are poor quality. I guess you got to save that 50 bucks. People going to the games are paying 400 bucks a seat and cheap people can't put out 50 bucks for all the games online in quality.

I would pay 50 bucks just to watch one Canucks game online.

Up until fairly recently I've been pretty satisfied with NHL.com's highlight reels and the buggy free-sites. Next season I'll be buying the 50 buck package though--should've done it before, really. I may yet even buy it this year, just so I can see the rest of the playoffs live.

Anyway--I really really hope the Caps put that fourth spike into the Rangers. I think the Rangers are a relatively boring team to watch, and I'd much rather see another series with the Ovie Show than I would with the Naslund Experience. Also I got no Rangers in any of my pools.

Very stoked to see so many series go to seven games, too.

What do you all think--Canes or Devils? Caps or NYR?

Also--will either of the other two series go to seven?

I checked the price and it is closer to $80. I'd do it, but the season is almost over. Either way, reading the info on the web site, the last 2 rounds, including the Stanley Cup games are NOT available on there. So even if you pay the $$ you have to watch low quality games like the rest of us schmoes for the final rounds.

Arrghh...no overtime please. Washington has bad luck in 7th game overtimes. I think I am 1-3 when watching them including two 4 OT marathon sessions.

I love 7th game overtimes personally. Just not with my team. Razz

Let's go Caps!

you can watch games for free on TSN.ca shortly after they've been played. that is, the ones that they cover on their tv network.

I am now, they have the Sid vid and Ovech vid on nhl.com---which is an isolation camera on all the centers. Just got it going in time to see Sid The Kid draw first blood. Very Happy
