HELLO, HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP ME
HERE GOES

I have been seeing my now wife since last summer and things were going so well that we decided to live together. However upon my last reentry almost 3 months ago, i took a job whereby my employer assured me that it was ok to start working while awaiting my e2 visa. I naively sensed no foul play and started to work. Obviously im now aware that this was not ok and immigration found out, fined me 1 million and ordered me to leave korea by may 10. This occured 2 weeks ago and to avoid ending our relationship we decide to get married.

We are finding people very unhelpful with regard to timeframes reg when i will get my f2 visa.

My current plan is as follows, please give me ur views on this plan and suggest any other solutions to speed up the process

...........................................................................................................
Go home to uk, send documents to korean embassy in uk, they want proof that i have 10, 000 pounds in my account however, can i use my fathers bank account????, can i use my wifes account as supporting evidence,??????? is there anyway they will refuse f2 visa with genuine documents and evidence that we are a lefit married couple??????

or should i come back to korea and apply here after my deportation order,?????? but they say it could take 3 months and i cant afford not to be working this length of time

please help asap

deep breathe.

I think you are in new waters and most of us will only be able to offer you speculation.

Do not violate your deportation order. In my opinion, I think you will have to vacate Korea and satisfy the order from immigration.

You have a black mark on your immi. So, like I said, new water, you can only hope that getting married will remedy the situation, after the order of deportation has been satisfied. This is my opinion. I have nothing to base it on.

good luck. The problem is that you are going to look like you are marrying for convenience. Thankfully, this doesn't happen that often with NETs in the ROK, so it may be overlooked.

Maybe getting an immi lawyer will help. good luck man.

Good advice. It depends if you were given only a deportation order, or also given "persona non grata" for 5 or so years. Better call and ask Immigration. Best of luck to you.

thanks, i was told my offence was minor, and even getting an an e2 visa upon reentry was possible albeit no guaranteed, it is 100 % ok for me to come back on a tourist visa at any time though even if i hadnt got married. we spoke to the main guy at immigration after we had married and he saifd it wouldnt be any problem whatsoever but when we went downstairs to speak with a rep , his confidence wasnt completely shared

i am pretty sure there wont be any problems getting the f2, its really just a matter of how long its going to rake and the best steps for me to take in gaining it

please keep posting, all help is of value
