| Can anybody give me some advice on the visa process? I recently applied for a visa for a private school and during the visa process the employer suddenly changed his mind after I singed the contract. Is there a way I can use the current visa for a new job position? It can cost a lot of money getting all of the documents together! Really disappointed! |

Good question. Did you use a recruiter? Ask them too.
The school is responsible for sponsoring your visa. They take your documents to Immi to be processed for a visa issuance number. Depending on what step in that process they are would tell you how to proceed.
In any event--not sure what other advice you'll get here, possibly something more pertinent--ask the school to send your documents back if they haven't gone to Immigration (in Korea) already. Insist on it, but use the proper courtesy. You catch more flies with honey and Korean culture dictates it--schmooze 'em.
If the school has already cancelled or stopped the visa request, I'd say it's a startover and getting your docs back would be the money saver. |
