They are checking people at Incheon right now. They are using the test involving like.. infrared, or a laser, or something which tells them whether you have a fever when you land. If you have a fever then there will be further testing.
Not as strict as Hong Kong yet, but they're being somewhat careful with new arrivals.
I recommend kimchi and garlic. And not working with children. Just kidding about the last one. |

They have been doing the infrared scanning at the airports in Asia (including Incheon for sometime now, maybe you didn't notice it before. I believe they are trying to catch up with this technology in N. America now.
So, it's suspected in Spain, New Zealand, Israel now as well. No surprise with the advent of air travel. I haven't seen the news report it in S. Korea yet...however, it could be and I wouldn't be shocked.
I was watching some doctor on CNN last night, he made a good point that around 30,000 Americans die every year from the "regular" flu, and so far none in the U.S. with this new one. So, don't get overly panicked...yet.
Amazing how some stocks are flying and some falling due to this outbreak. Did this also happen when SARS hit? Probably, I don't remember. I only remember AC/DC and The Rolling Stones in T.O. |

Thanks for telling us. But I did post mine on Monday and the other started on Tuesday, so by rights, this was the first
No biggie, most people read Job, then General Korea, then Off Topic and so on. So, if I had put something like "Lost"...in Korea (General Korea topic), it would have 100 pages rather than the one here. Or NHL...in Korea or David Beckham...in Korea. I have no control on what people post, where or in what order they read and respond to them.
I just thought this topic was more of a worldwide topic rather than just living in Korea. No worries. |

Wow, now watching CNN...threat level is now 5 out of 6...jeez.
I'm glad I am taking a small vacation this weekend because you never know...airports could be closed or at the very least operating in slow motion while they take the temperature of every single passenger getting on or off the planes.
Still nervous that Korean schools can't handle this problem if it hits here. I tell you one thing, I'm glad I got a bunch of sick days because if my school has even a twitch of the flu, I'm staying home. Faaaget aboutit!
Take care and let's hope this is just an over reaction and not the real deal. |
