I've been downloading some ROMS for my NDS. Today, I moved some games that I don't play onto my hard drive for save keeping. I changed the new downloaded RARs into nds. files and put them on my SD card, then put that into my R4. I turn on my DS, and there's only one game; all the rest that were originally downloaded from the man at Yongsan are now "gone."

When I put the SD card into the USB and put in my computer, it shows the 75 files (nds. files and sav. files). But for some reason they aren't showing up on the console.

What could have happened?

I tried moving around some files on the SD card, and now when I turn on the console the "Loading" screen in black comes on and nothing happens....

EDIT: problem solved, I think. It appears the old directory got changed into a new one, so I needed to move all of my files from the DS 영어 folder to the DS++e/ folder. But there still is a ds??/ folder with nothing in it.

You copied all of the .nds and .sav files onto your HD? Good!
reformat your SD card
go here http://gbatemp.net/index.php?download=2309
unzip the package and put that on your newly formatted SD card. then move the .nds and .sav files back onto the card.
also check out www.ndsthemes.com if you want different backgrounds and stuff.

Also, R4 is pretty much dead right now, not many newer games will work with it. If you really want to keep up piracy you'll have to upgrade to an Edge, Acekard or CycloDS flashcart.

MollyB, the reason they're not be showing up on your console might be because of the 'select' button. If you hit the select button when in any folder, it switches between listing either
a) Game files (.nds)
b) eBook files
c) Save files (.SAV)
d) All files

I'd also recommend getting some nice themes and backgrounds so definitely check out ndsthemes.com, but I don't why detourne_me insists the R4 is dead. It continues to work with the latest games I download, even the ones I downloaded last week!

Depending on what R4 you have (R4HC?) I'd recommend downloading the English driver or at least make English menus like 'Games' 'Media' etc to make things easier for yourself. If you have the original R4 you can go to the site listed above to get the latest driver (v1.1Cool and if you have the R4HC you can go to http://www.r4sdhc.com/index-en.htm to get their latest driver (v1.25).
