I got some kind of government e-mail warning on my computer today for watching an interview between Howard Stern and Chris Rock about whether Obama would be a good President. Big Brother was watching I guess. Please.....

Need more details. I don't think this is accurate. I have a Sirius Online subscription that I use to listen to Howard 100/101 and the many other channels full of content available on Sirius.

The OP is an idiot. If that's a personal attack, then read "The OP SOUNDS like an idiot."

I'm guessing it was for DOWNLOADING it, which is the letter many people have gotten from their ISP saying it's illegal to download, blah blah blah

I'm certain the government did not pick him out and say "Don't watch Howard Stern, we know what's on your hard drives!!"

I got a pop up yesterday in korean, saying I was violating copyright. I wasn't downloading either, just streaming.

Today, when I went to visit the same site, I got a blank screen with a short message in English that said this site is not accessible on this server.

I've seen that one before. Use a proxy if you must. It says what you think it says. The NPA (Korean FBI, I've been told), has deemed this site not suitable for access in the ROK. If you have any questions as to why, call the numbers on the message.

(From what I understand, from a Google Translate of www.warning.or.kr)

Korean Secret Service (Blue House): 1566-0112
Korean Department of State (Blue House): 1566-0112
Korean FCC: (02) 3219-5188, 5196, 5154
KFDA for Illegal Food and Drug Sales: (02) 380-1515
KFDA for the sale of Illegal Food, Drugs, and Cosmetics: (02) 3156-8057
KFDA for the Manufacture and sale of Illegal Drugs and Substances of Abuse: (02) 3156-8080

Anyone been having trouble streaming NBA games? Maybe it's just the connection and not the government trying to block it, just wondering...

I haven't gotten a popup. But I get that message when I try to access the official NK site, for example.

Is Korea taking up China on its Internet censorship policy?

Anyone had anything for torrenting? Think it's safe? I've downloaded many gigs-worth of films in the past 3 months.
