Is Chan Wook Park as famous in Korea as he is in the U.S.? I find his films grotesquely beautiful and deranged, with amazingly complicated plots.
Does anybody know of any other movies he has directed besides his deranged trilogy? |

Yeah, I heard about "Thirst", about a vampire priest or something like that. Sounds good, I hope it's just as twisted as the vengeance series.
Yeah, "I'm A Cyborg, But That's O.k." is the other movie he recently directed. We'll have to see how these movies do at the Cannes film festival. As compared with Japan I think the better movies definitely come out of Korea! I like the fighting seen in "Oldboy" that was all one cut! It was a long scene and shot very nicely! |

Any of you film geeks know who directed the Korean movie "Typhoon"?
Excellent flick. Viewed it in the U.S. about 15 months ago. |

Can't beleive that Oldboy hasn't been mentioned yet. JSA (Joint Security Area) is also a great flick. Enjoy! |

Yeah, oldboy was the movie I was reffering to with the uncut fight scene when he goes back to the makeshift prison. I've seen JSA also, do you think that really happens up there along the DMZ, or ever did in the past.
Thanks for the list of movies, I'll have to check those out. Some I've never heard of, and I thought I've heard of them all. |
