Your best players and goalie get gooned and their best players can roam around freely and that doesnt change a series?
Look at the hit on kesler before he gave up the puck in game 4. All late period chnages were direct results of refs shifting momentum.. It was fixed and I have never complianed about a fix in 35 years of watching hockey. Watch the games hab geek. |
I watched the whole series and like I said, after the first 3 games Chicago outplayed Vancouver. |

| they were good in St. Louis. But just faded for the most part in Chicago. I think they might be gone for next year. The talk is they will be asking for 6 million each. |

| Should the canucks get them to sign a new contract? I think I would go for some younger cheaper talent. |

Well, if they don't re-sign them, they had better get used to missing the playoffs for a few seasons until Hodgson (spelling?) comes of age. They may as well trade Luongo as well if they are going to do that and start from scratch.
I really like Edler, I think he could be great for a long time to come, though I thought the same about Bieksa and his offence has gone backwards.
Just watching Game 7 of Caps and Pens on ustream and it's 4-0 Pens, so I guess my Fantasy Pool Outlook is pretty bleak for this post-season. Not nearly the nail-biter I was hoping it would be - 0h well, Ducks - Red Wings could be a game for the ages... |

Look at a team like the Blackhawks - they proove a fact about good young teams - that you have to be brutally bad for a while, get high draft picks, then if you draft well, you may have a bright future - until the salary cap bites you in the *#s. The Hawks had a first overall pick (Kane) - the Nucks have never had one of these! - two thirds (Towes and Barker), plus a fourth via a trade (Ladd).
All in all, it was a lame way to end the season! They score 5 goals and lose. And so the suffering continues... |

The Canucks were simply outplayed and outhit! They looked tired in games 5 and 6. Chicago had lots of energy and kept coming and refused to give up! The youth factor definitely gave them the upper hand. They do have their work cut out for them, however, when they face the experienced Red Wings.
I'm hoping to see an ORIGINAL 6 FINAL! |

A second to Geds here - the Cunks just played like the grandmothers they are. Interesting series. The Sedin cycle was there in game one and two, then Bieksa and Kessler tried to put on their big boy pants and they all got schooled by a younger and better team. By the end of the series the Hawks were playing the Cunks' game back at them and it worked. That Buyfuglin's a *beep* and a half, but that 'lost edge' into Luongo was priceless. |
