I'm currently applying for EPIK through a recruiter, and it appears spots are filling up somewhat quickly.
I'm graduating this Sunday, but I won't get my diploma for another month or so...
Does anybody have experience with this? Is there some other proof of graduation I could use on a temporary basis, or am I stuck until I actually receive my diploma? Because that would suck |

In the past, a letter from the registrar saying you would receive your diploma was sufficient, but this is no longer true. You will have to wait until you get the diploma in your hands. (Then immediately order a duplicate or two.) |

Well, I just talked to my recruiter, and he told me that an official sealed letter from my university that I've completed all my coursework would suffice. So, we'll see what happens.
Now, I need to figure out how to get that. |

I just went through the process, and said forget it...
You have to contact your registrar's office, then they put you to a contact where you fax it, and it goes through a committee for approval... Although it doesn't save you much time.
You have to wait for things regardless,
and what happens is your permitted to attend your convocation ceremony, but you receive nothing...
I said i'd rather take the two weeks or whatever you'd save and kick back, and be a proper part of my convocation ceremony. If the job can't wait for me, tough luck...there's more out there |

Hmm...I think my school is different.
See, my graduation ceremony is this Sunday, but I don't get my diploma for another 6-8 weeks. It comes in the mail.
This is what happens when you go to a large public university...red tape. Anyway, I'll go talk to my advisor tomorrow and see what she can tell me. |

Immediately ask for many "official" copies of your diploma from your school. You never know when you'll need them (and when other people are going to "lose" them).
If you care a lot about the "original", leave it with mom and dad for safekeeping. |

I got this in an e-mail yesterday from Footprints Recruiting about EPIK:
Q. Im waiting for my degree to be printed- can I send my documents without it?
A. You can submit a letter from your university to state that you have qualified to graduate. When you get your degree in the future, you can send that. You CAN confirm your position with the letter from your university. Please ask me for details of what needs to be send in lieu of your actual degree. |

Hi, this is mostly for DrugstoreCowgirl, but ok for anyone else who knows what to do.
I have a very similar problem. I've been accepted into EPIK after the interview. But to qualify for Level 2, I need Masters. I have passed, but haven't graduated yet. I have sent a letter from the university stating that I have passed, as well academic transcripts that reflect this. I will also have the certificate before going to Korea and could bring it with if required. The recruiter tells me this is not good enough. Could you give the details on what you found? It could be that he has his facts wrong. |
