In the 15-64 year age group there are more men (1.03 males / females)
in Korea then women (according to the CIA). This makes a 95% rate even more unlikely, unless I as said they share.

Could not one argue that Korean women have harems of Korean men?
If a single Korean woman is mistressing 3 or 4 married Korean men I would hardly say that 95% of Korean men "have" a mistress, it would be more like 95% of Korean men have 25-33% of a mistress.

Who would want a third of a mistress? Especially at full mistress prices

Even you has to know that that 95% figure is impossibly high.

I am quite sure many, many men in Korea have mistresses. But 95%...come now.

Like the T-beer said..perhaps he meant he has a mistress 95% of the time or even he has 95% of a mistress and is looking for that missing 5%.
Then again he could mean he wishes he had a mistress 95% of the time....its all so complex.

Well, I think my best friend in Korea is one of the women teachers I work with and if I were to discover her husband with a mistress I would beat the living crap out of him... nothing worse than being untrue to a woman. Of course, he's generally a nice guy, so all is well.

Though on a smaller scale, I find alot of things men do here to be disrespectful too... it annoys me when I will see a couple walking together, then the man will randomly walk of on his own ahead of the woman. I personally find that rude... along with I have never seen a Korean man hold a door for a lady, though that doesn't mean it doesn't happen... I guess it's just far too rare.

I also don't believe that number. How do they have time? When they're not working, they're drinking soju with their buddies.

More likely 95% of men have had a mistress at one point. I even find that hard to believe, but more believable than the statement that 95% of married men currently have a mistress.

Was that 95 a typo? Even 59 would be awful high! I'd guess closer to the 10-20 % range, which still seems like a lot of cheaters in my opinion.

But I have heard it's common in mcuh of Asia for a married to also have a girlfriend or visit prostitues regularly. Had a married boss in Taiwan who told me about his girfriend. Read in newspaper once in Thailand that it is pretty routine for many married men who can afford it to use a prostitute between once a week and once a month. And largely accepted as normal in the society. I wonder about Japan? Surely there has to be a lot of it going on there? Just an impression but those dudes do seem perverted!

If you doubt the number so much...and if it comes from what someone said to you then why post about it at all?

Why not just say korean men seem to cheat more then western men.

That would be the start of a debate....
