|
|
Gonna' do a fast-ish Hangang loop Saturday and am calling any other Seoul-area cyclists to join me.
Meet @ 9:00AM under the Cheonho bridge. We'll ride Cheonho daegyo to Yeoido to Yongsan to Cheonho daegyo. It'll be a fast-ish ride but we'll keep it reasonable for any of you who haven't dropped your winter-weight yet.
Road bikes, mountain bikes, fixed gears, minivelos - everyone is welcome. |

In New Zealand right now but I'll be there in spirit.
(Funny how in Seoul cycling along the broader parts of the Han river used to vaguely remind me of the Otago harbour, and now, cycling along the narrower parts of the Otago harbour I'm reminded of the Han river) |

Sounds like fun. Maybe I'll see you guys there. I'm working on dropping my winter/several of the last years' weight. |

I get in trouble when I take my motorbike on the Han River bike trails. But the scooter kids don't. |

If you love rainy days, then tomorrow will fancy your favorite kind of weekend. |

I have ridden from Olympic bridge to Hannam bridge and back the past 3 days and probably will do so again tomorrow. You guys enjoy your ride; wish I could join, but I think that I will just stay local. |

During the humid Korean summer I'd rather be soaked in rain than soaked in sweat (nice thought eh?)
It'll be interesting to know how many turn up. |

Ride was fantastic.
Pouring rain with a strong tailwind from Cheonhodaegyo to Yeoido. Averaged 25mph. Crossed over to the north side of the river and rode covered with a bit of a headwind out to Walker Hill. Averaged 18mph. Standing sprint over Walker Hill and reached a max of 42mph over the other side, hauled ass through Guri and made it home by noon.
You guys missed a great ride - there was no one on the path. One negative thing though... Hangang river path does not drain well, there was a lot of puddles. |

I set my alarm and actually got out of bed, but opted to stream the Twins game after I looked out the window. Maybe next time. |
