IF you are missing all your old favourite, try this out, they have bbc 1, bbc 2, itv, channel4, sky news, skysports news, bloomberg, music channels like flaunt and flava, a few documentery channels and even a couple of xxx channels if that's what floats your boat.

It had sky sports up until last week but that seems to have disappeared Sad

It's a quick download and you're off and ready to go, i use it here in Ireland, but i'm not sure if it will work over there, but if it does then i hope you enjoy it.

also for those over there you might wanna provide feedback on this to let others know if it works to save them from downloading it (although it is only 28mb or something like that)

Here is the linbk and you just download the software

http://www.filmon.com/tv/?mid=13&a=tab_premium_channels

hope it works and that you guys enjoy it

lol
That's pretty cool. Haven't really been able to really road test it yet for a sustained period of time, but I just watched Saturday Kitchen Live on BBC1 for about 10-minutes and it was just like watching TV back home.

It's almost a shame I'll be leaving in August, else I'd have stayed for another year! Any idea what time Football Focus starts?

Downloaded it and ran it. The quality is good, but it keeps stalling, even on the low bandwidth links. Runs for 2 or 3 minutes fine, then stalls for 5 or more. I use other sites for streaming and don't have this problem. It would be great otherwise.

I have the same problem as quilter.

It would be good if you could post links to other streaming tv sites quilter. I know plenty of ones showing movies and tv programs, but this is the first one for streaming live tv I have found.

The filmonhd site seems to be working much better now. I created a user account, but I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it. The streaming sites I usually use are:

http://tvunetworks.com/
http://www.justin.tv/
http://www.ovguide.com/movies-tv.html
http://www.channelsurfing.net/
http://www.pbs.org/video/

The film on HD seems to be the best quality by far though.

glad to see it's workin ok for you now, hopefully it will continue to work and not get found out and closed down as has happened to some other similar sites including some of the ones that used to require you to pay for membership

http://thebox.bz is a private torrent tracker exclusively for British TV shows. They're pretty strict with seeding ratios but download speeds are respectable.
BTW if you haven't already seen it, I'd recommend Spoons. Damn funny sketch show.

anything actually decent on English TV then? Last time I was back home 2 years ago , it was the same old rubbish like reality TV Dancing on ice, obviously the usual soaps Coronation Street and Eastenders....don't think I'm missing much?

I torrent all my stuff from thebox.bz and uknova. They have everything I ever want. Sometimes though it's just nice to have random stuff that you wouldn't download just playing in the background as you surf the net or whatver.
