windows 2000 question
i am trying to get an old game running called dune2. the d/l site says i need to alter the compatability option in the .exe propeties.
i have done this twice on xp but now trying to change this on my windows 2000 is proving to be difficult. i can't find the compatability tab? where di they put it?
here are the instructions -
some webpage wrote: |
Go to your Dune 2 Directory (where all the files were extracted)
Right click on Dune2.exe (not the one with the picture)
Click "Create Shortcut" from the right click menu
Right click on the shortcut that was just created
Click on "Properties" from the right click menu
Click on the "Compatibility" tab in the new window
Click the Check Box for "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
Then use the drop down menu under the check box to select "Windows 98 / Windows ME" |
that option doesn't seem to be available in w2k.
any ideas? |

Windows 2000 does not have a compatability feature
For DOS based games you can sometimes alter the command prompt options that run the game, but those are far and inbetween
That game you want to run does not run like that
You are out of luck ... |
