Hi all,

I am wondering what you guys know about Herald Media-KNN Villages (English/global) in general? A contract was sent out to me to work at one of the villages and I would like to know what the environment is like?

I can't speak for the villages, but knowing what past teachers have been through at Kid's Herald hagwons, I would pass. I'm sure others have had better experiences, but none of my friends have.

I just got offered job at this school...Just wondering Boog, did you take this job and what are your experiences???

The Korea Herald hagwon chain has a terrible reputation for refusing to honor contracts and for treating foreign teachers like dirt.

Yes I did take the contract. Thus far they have treated me well. I am still in Canada and I have only talked to them via e-mail and phone all questioned were answered and they seem to be doing stuff by the book. I have a contact (principal of the language institute ware I did my TESOL (He is not affiliated with the Herald hagwon chain)) here ware I did my TESOL that I talk to when I think something is up and as far as he can tell they are doing everything the way they should.

I double check the information and it is by the book as far as I can tell also. I have made many calls to the Korean consulate to check processes needed and done on both sides, they were correct.
