Has anyone seen these being sold? The guy in this video says this Samsung with a pico "ships in Korea late January".

They look awesome; need to get better, but the technology's great.

Looks sweet. 2 Major concerns I'm sure haven't been properly addressed:

1. Battery Life
2. Heat.

Cell phones already have bad battery life, I cant imagine how short the battery life is with a projector running.

Some cell phones get hot just by talking on it. I've read that these microprojectors get pretty toasty after like 10 minutes. Put the 2 together, and I'm wondering if I can make scrambled eggs on my phone after watching an episode of Family Guy.

If the battery life is stellar, and the device won't give me swamp-ass when I put it in my pocket after use, than I'd say its a homerun.

Yeah I "ZOMG"d about them too - until I looked into them. I haven't completed scoping them all out, but the one that was recommended to me was the Optoma Pocket Pico Projector. The reviews I read said that the battery life is around 1.5 hours and, more importantly, the screen size is only good at 24 inches, even though it's advertised at 60 inches.

I guess my imagination was going wild, thinking of pulling out a projector from my pocket, going to the top of my apartment building with a few friends, and watching a movie on a blank wall the size of a movie theater screen. Don't think that's going to happen in the first gen iterations of pocket pico projectors, but here's hoping for the future!

Would be cool if you could buy a separate power brick (around the size of an iPod Classic) that would give you 4X the battery life, and also serve as a nice stand for the projector.

320X200 graphics resolution blows. Neat litta gadget idea though that I'm sure will proliferate into a phenomenon of micro HD video recording and playback on the go; micro HD video everything on the go.

Who's playing a video on me?
