I was thinking the same thing. You can get in a lot of trouble dating women when things go South in the relationship. OP, I think your woman knows she has some power over you due to you being a foreigner with her knowing how to work the Korean system. Of course, you're trying to be diplomatic in escaping her clench as to not get in trouble or lose your job, money, and valuables. It appears you have a difficult to shake off parasite. If I were you, I'd arrange to be moving and not say anything to the contrary while protecting your documents, sensitive info, and records of any sort.
You can bet just about any woman attempting to attach themselves to you is out for one thing. To get what you worked for. |

That is a sh**ty way to go through life when considering the idea of finding a solid female. I like your posts. You take the time to say what's on your mind. I refuse to believe that this is a absolute with all females. What happened to being with someone because you really want to? it's what both parties want regardless of money etc? Are these questions just flagrant niavety? Is niavety even a word? |

Newsflash: any chick in it for the money will aim quite a bit higher than ESLer wages, which really aren't all that high.
the good news is, if she shows signs of interest, it's probably about you and not your wallet. |

| My current girlfriend (Korean) is living with me, and I want her to leave my apartment. She wants to stay; even though I told her many times I don't love her and want her to find her own place. The lease is in my name, and I pay all the rent. I am a foreigner and have very little info on this situation. Is there somewhere I can go for help to get rid of her? PLEASE HELP ME! |
If she was good to you give her some money and tell her to have a good life and move on.
It is not like there are any real good options. |

I'm talking about when it's obvious you don't love her, don't want her, and have told her so, not when you're mutually together.
It's one thing to have a good relationship where you're both together, it's another thing to have someone in your life you don't want. |

Does she have anywhere she can go? It might take some time for her to get on her feet, especially with the economic downturn.
Is this an apartment you own? If you're just renting or living in an employer's apartment and you're going to be leaving that apartment within the next year, it doesn't seem like a big deal. If you own it, then that's a big problem.
If it was me in the same situation, I'd let her stay for a while to get herself together, but she would have to cook, clean, wash my clothes, and make sure there's at least one extra unopened bottle of Cass in the fridge at all times. That way, she would be earning her keep somewhat and you wouldn't be interfering with her ability to save money so she can move out. If you sleep with her, she's going to consider herself your girlfriend again, so be careful and use your best judgment on that. I know it's hard to turn it down when it's right there in your face.
I wouldn't bring other girls over for any number of reasons. |

I see an accusation in your future that you use drugs. |

Make it unbearable for her to live there.
Trash the air conditioner and/or turn off the heat, walk around home naked all the time with the blinds open, don't shower, introduce crawly bugs into the environment, get a cat or bird if she doesn't like them .... that kind of stuff.

| I am not quite sure about option 2. That description seems to be the young Korean male norm from what I have seen walking the streets of Busan. Option 2 may make her feel way too comfortable. You would have to resort to cement shoes. |

I knew of a gay bloke here who moved in his 19 year old lover and once he left to go back to America - the 19 year old lover was left alone to face the wrath of his parents.
If this girl has moved in with this guy because her parents defied her relationship with a waygook - then kicking her out is a shitty thing to do in my opinion.
All depends why this girl has moved in with this bloke in the first place... |

This scenario is a catch 22 at it's finest. The OP is trying to take the moral high road here. To me, that's commendable. I would hope to do the same. The social pressure of her moving in with him VS The relationship going bad after X amount of time.
Is it really his fault? Maybe they jumped into the living situation too soon? |

This may be the best thread on Dave's.
I think it is a progression. 1) Ask nicely but firmly three times. 2) Demand directly - feel free to be rude because she deserves it at this point. 3) If she still doesn't leave then whatever you do here short of violence is fair. I'd say make her sleep on the floor but she's Korean so... |
